Spring Trend: Turban
We've seen Erykah Badu with these elaborately tied head wraps.
June Ambrose's sig look has been the turban and huge glasses.
Then I saw Solange with a turban.
Now it's on the Spring 2011 runway.
I introduce the turban.

This turban print and ad is gorgeous. It's so full of texture and possesses this whole Mother Earth vibe.

Caviar Nails for lunch please!
[Source]
I
am
addicted
to
nail
polish.
I have a growing collection of nail polish.
Whenever I go to Target, I make a pit stop in the beauty department.
My boyfriend thinks I have a problem - and I just may.
Since I'm actually overdue for a personal mani, I may adopt this trend seen at Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2011
Fashion Week. It requires glass beads, activator spray and some other stuff. Luckily, I have TONS of little sea beads just hanging around and will put them to good use.
5 Minute Outfit
Ok.
So I had the day off from classes and decided to braid my hair knowing that I also had a play to attend at 7pm. I started my hair around 2pm resulting in about half of my hair getting done. So I put this look together in seriously 5 minutes before leaving for my friend's play.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of it but I'll call this 'Lazy Chic'
Boy's Blazer thrifted
Pastel yellow pants thrifted
Oxford shoes thrifted
Basic Black V Neck forever21

Willow Smith and Teen Vogue
Little Willow Smith may not be a teen just yet but she will be featured on the cover of Teen Vogue.
I think....
THAT IT IS ABOUT TIME!
Willow is the epitome of Teen Vogue - young, fresh, vibrant, and confident.

53rd Annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet: Part Deux
These women were all about texture, patterns and RISKS.
Keri Hilson's piece is fun. Beautiful color and detail.
I love that Amber Riley's stylists dress her in really flattering and beautiful pieces instead of dressing her matronly and sometimes horribly (as is done with a lot of curvier women).
Lea Michele opted for a more mature look (left) than seen at this year's Golden Globe awards (right).
Gorgeous, gorgeous silhouettes.

53rd Annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet
Here are a few ladies of the night:

I love this silhouette on Julianne Hough. The deep v neck and banded waist is beautiful but I dislike the print.
Eva Longoria is feistier than ever since her split with what's his face? She looks so youthful and fresh. I love this black and cream combo.
This blazer = amazing.
E!'s Guiliana Rancic in a cute one shoulder. Simply put: I love this piece.
Lalah Hathaway in a gorgeous, flattering, purple dress. Very simple look but she looks comfortable and confident.
I'm not a huge fan of Jennifer Hudson's entire dress but I love the lower half. This dress definitely shows off her new body and her body looks amazing!
BFFs Kim Kardashian and Ciara (both of whom I love) opted for a sexy split but I must admit, these are not their best looks. Kim looks much bustier and hippier than usual. Ciara looks like a tribal, warrior princess gone wrong.

Solange Knowles
Fellow Naturalista Solange Knowles has been flying under the radar - or older sister Beyonce Knowles - for quite sometime but I absolutely love the woman that she is becoming. For one, she is representing for all of Naturalistas and I love that about her.
Also, her style is great!! Since she did her big chop, she's been looking better than ever!

School Daze
Welp, now that school is in session, I have a couple of classes where I get down and dirty: wood shop and art studio. I almost never leave classes the same way I walk in so I now opt for more comfortable outfits that I can freely move about in. So this is what I wore today:
Jean vest thrifted
Shirt and pants Forever21
Boots DSW
Makeup ag worn as clutch thrifted
Necklace and earrings DIY
Denim backpack thrifted
Leona Lewis' Daring Look
OK. Let me start by saying that I have been rather interested in Leona Lewis since the summer of 2008 when I took my first trip to London. The Leona Lewis we've always seen was much like America's, well, Britain's sweetheart. She almost always had a head full of dark blonde curls with a very sweet, innocent look. Leona decided to punch it up at the premiere of Beiber's Never Say Never.
Her new look reminds me of Kim Kardashian (whom I LOVE) but I think it definitely works for her. I'm not so sure about this whole 'lips' top but her hair and body looks fabulous!

Iris van Herpen’s new 3D printed Escapism couture collection for .MGX
I love the theatrical approach in van Herpen's Summer 2011 'Escapism' collection.
There's so much rhythm, movement and vitality in her pieces -- it's amazing.
I love the shapes created by the garments but the areas accented by skin is so soft and sensual!
The convergences of fashion and technology is brilliant.
I'm a fan and can't wait to see more.

Rihanna: S&M
This video is a bit on the eccentric side.
I love the colors and most of her hairstyles nonetheless.
